2026 Thanksgiving Cookie Boxes
These are the recipes I’m using to make my 2026 Thanksgiving cookie boxes! I love how this assortment is coming together with warm fall colors, cozy flavors, and lots of cute seasonal shapes.
I packed them in 10×10-inch boxes, which I ordered on Amazon.

I always feel like I have to include some type of turkey treat in my Thanksgiving cookie boxes, and these adorable little turkeys are made with my buttercream cookie recipe and these 2-inch flower cookie cutters.
I used my candy eyes to make the face, but you can use store-bought eyeball sprinkles too!

These gingham shortbread cookies are buttery, tender, and add such a pretty pattern to the box! The plaid design is perfect for fall and makes these cookie boxes feel so cozy.

3. Reese’s Acorns
These cute little acorns are inspired by Reese’s peanut butter cups! I used my peanut butter hearts recipe, but rolled the peanut butter mixture out to be about 1/4 of an inch thick, and dipped them in melted and cooled dark chocolate.
I also added a little extra drizzle of dark chocolate and a flaky sea salt garnish.
They’re a great addition if you want something chocolatey in your cookie box, and they give these boxes the perfect fall vibe. I used this cookie cutter to make them.

4. Pumpkin Oatmeal Sandwich Cookies
These pumpkin oatmeal sandwich cookies bring a delicious mix of warm fall spices and a soft, chewy texture to the box! And their brown butter cream cheese frosting makes them truly irresistible.

5. Pumpkin Spice Meringues
These little pumpkin spice meringues add the cutest pop of color to the box! They’re light, crisp, and a fun contrast to the buttery shortbread and chewy oatmeal cookies.
I used my go-to meringue cookie recipe, but piped them into little pumpkins for Thanksgiving and mixed in 1 tsp of pumpkin spice with the gel food coloring.
To make them, use gel food coloring to color about 1/2 cup of meringue green, then divide the remaining meringue in half. Leave one portion white and color the other orange to make two different shades of pumpkins.
I used a large French piping tip for the pumpkins and a leaf tip for the leaves.

Last but not least are these marbled maple leaf cookies! The swirled colors make each cookie a little different and bring all the beautiful shades of fall into this box.
They’re made using my cream cheese cookie dough base (which is what I use to make my buttercream cookies), which I divided into four portions and colored red, orange, yellow, and green with gel food coloring.
I tore the dough into small portions, then marbled the colors together by kneading the dough with my hands. I used this cookie cutter to give them that cute maple leaf shape. These turned out to be quite large, and using a smaller leaf cookie cutter would work great too.
