Here are the recipes I used to make my 2024 Christmas cookie boxes! I love how this one came together!! It has such a wonderful balance of flavors, colors, and shapes.
For more details about planning, managing your baking timeline, how to keep cookies fresh, and how to pack/ship them, check out my original Christmas cookie box post from last year.
Feel free to get creative and mix and match your favorite, seasonal recipes!
1. Gingerbread Cookies with Royal Icing
These delicious gingerbread cookies bake up soft and chewy, are perfectly spiced, and are decorated with vanilla royal icing to look like little gingerbread men.
2. Swirled Christmas Cookies
I think these cookies were the star of the show in this year’s Christmas cookie boxes! That swirl is just so eye-catching, and the sprinkled edges give these cookies such a great crunch.
3. Meringue Trees
With just 5 ingredients, these are one of the easiest little treats to make! They do take a while to bake and cool, but piping them is so satisfying.
4. Gingerbread Sandwich Cookies
One of my favorite cookie recipes of all time!! These delicious gingerbread sandwich cookies are soft yet chewy, full of ginger and molasses, and filled with the most delicious buttercream frosting.
5. Peppermint Sugar Cookies
These peppermint sugar cookies are such a fun way to jazz up a classic! They bake up with crispy edges and soft, chewy centers.
6. Snowman Cookies
As cute as these are, they’re also insanely easy to make (and just as delicious)!
A dusting of sanding sugar gives them a wonderful pop of texture, and they come together in a flash because they’re decorated with sprinkles! These are very kid-friendly and sure to be a holiday favorite.
7. Raspberry Linzer Cookies
Sandwiched with tart raspberry jam, these adorable raspberry Linzer cookies bake up beautifully and are buttery and perfectly sweet.
8. Gingerbread Men Sugar Cookies
These adorably delicious gingerbread men sugar cookies are almost too cute to eat. Keyword – ALMOST! They bake up soft and chewy and are decorated with royal icing.
I use a hint of cocoa to naturally color the icing and it’s an unexpectedly delicious combination.
9. Double Chocolate Cookies
These double chocolate cookies live up to their name! Not only are they deliciously chewy, but they’re made with dark cocoa powder and are studded with two types of chocolate chips. They’re a chocolate lover’s dream!
10. Marbled Christmas Tree Cookies
This design is stunning yet so simple to make. You only have to make one consistency of icing and it’s easy to get it just right.
11. Red Velvet Macarons
You all know how much I love making macarons, and I couldn’t resist including some in this year’s box! I decided red velvet would add a beautiful pop of color, and I love their cream cheese filling.
12. Butter Cookie Swirls
These festive little butter cookie swirls are a great spin on a classic shortbread.
They bake up tender, buttery, and with a delicious hint of almond. And getting to pipe the dough makes them so much fun to make!
Dip them in some melted chocolate and add a sprinkle of sea salt, and they become irresistible!
