Hey there! I’m Chelsey, and I’m so excited to welcome you into my kitchen.

The Chelsweets’ Story

Unlike a lot of bakers out there, I didn’t grow up in the kitchen with my Mom or Grandma. I don’t have a treasure trove of family recipes, but I’ve always loved dessert!

I was lucky enough to find my passion for baking at 22 when I decided to make my first cake for a coworker’s birthday. My blog was born shortly after that, and I haven’t looked back since!

The ultimate goal behind Chelsweets is to inspire others to find joy in the kitchen like I have.

My Background

My career path has been anything but conventional. I started in public accounting as a CPA, then moved into corporate finance, and left that to pursue Chelsweets full-time as a blogger and content creator in 2019.

If you want to know more, I shared why I quit my job here, along with everything I considered before I left my corporate job.

My Business Model

I’m currently focusing on content creation across my social platforms, sharing recipes on my blog, and my ongoing digital partnership with the Food Network.

I don’t sell any of my cakes and give the cakes I make to my friends, family, and neighbors.

I share more about my business model as a baker who doesn’t sell her cakes here.

Baking has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people and has led to some amazing opportunities.

Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to be featured in the following news outlets and publications:

I have also made national TV appearances on the Ben and Pickler Show and Home & Family, which were both amazing!
